Computer/DVD burning problems

Every time I start my Sonic burning software it comes up saying that i need to enable at least one of my drives to continue.
I have gone into the device manager and disabled/re-enabled my cd/dvd drive but no luck.
It worked last week...what gives now?

you should try using Nero, i didn't have any problems with that program.

Its not that, my drives dont appear to be active when they actually are (i stick in a dvd and it plays).
This program is free and i have been using it for 2 years no problem.

Oooh...have you tried cleaning it or anyhting like that but then again if it wont work with the cd's then that prolly wont wotk then eh?
