russia is very good at portraying themselves as a economically poor country, but there are economies that you don't see within russia. they are actually very financially stable and have technology far superior to any american technology. the space station in space has a reputation amongst the astronauts that go there, they perfer the old russian space station over the new one.
Ive heard that they rely too much on their oil and that when they cant jack up the price anymore to Ukraine or Belarus and/or there is no oil left, they won't have anything left to make money on...
I personally think that Russia made a good decision in flexing some of it's military muscle. You have to remember... Russia is dealing with China to the south and North Korea to the East.
Both of which have some of the largest, and advanced organized militaries in the world. China's industry has been funding nationalist sponsored programs like the military for years now, making it the largest in the world.
...Now I'm not saying that China has the strongest... but with 2,255,000 active troops, they are a damn powerful opponent. Russia has a decent right to be concerned.
The US has bigger fish to fry than worrying about an intercontinental ballistic missile defense system.
Yeah, and Russia isn't sneaky at all. 1 word, Chernobyl. They didn't fess up until scientists in finland I think saw the huge nuclear cloud and said something.
