Thanks for enlightening me...maybe I should change my phobia. I may live in Whistler, but I travel to places where sharks are (SE Asia, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, etc.). So I have a right to not like sharks.
Also, you're wrong just for the record. In warmer seasons, sharks (including Great Whites) stray into BC waters. And, no I'm not afraid of dogfish.
rumours rumours rumours..... every year when im in tofino all the tourists are like OMG!!!someone spotted a great white 15 miles off shore from their helicopter!!!!its all lies... a great white would not survive in 55 degree water in the summer and 52 degree water in the winter.
It's been in the news. Either way, the point was I travel to places where sharks are quite prevalent....I surf and snorkel and they are all that's on my mind when I'm in the water.
