Combining Clips in FCE?

I'm using Final Cut Express and have a timelapse that is separated into 5 segments.  I combined them and sped them up, and it's looking great.  But now i want to use a keyframe but I can't because they're 5 separate clips.  How can i combine them or is there another way to use key frames with all of the clips together? (I want to do a scale and center point keyframe)

You can start your key frame where the last one ends or simpler: nest your items, or export your timelapse as a clip and reimport into timeline you'll then have only one clip to play with.
