not at all, their supper fun and buttery, but stiff enough to handle the rest of the mountain, i would have been pissed if i got the normal addicts, but my brother loves the original
does anybody else think this guy is crazy? addicts are not soft by any means......fairly stiff, but not too stiff.....i like them bc i can ski them around the rest of the mountain and they are a symmetrical ski
They're similar in flex I'd say to the original Trouble Makers or more recent Dynastar Pro models.
181 is a great park ski length, but symmetrical skis ski extra short all mountain. I agree that an extra long symmetrical ski would own, like a bit stiffer 188 Anthem for instance.
I told Jason Levinthal this on a chairlift at Squaw in January '06 when Line came around and did the grassroots shop demos. He thought I was crazy cuz they had a lot of trouble selling 186 Pro models to anyone but sponsor worthy kids who weren't paying .
I told him there were 2 key differences, Flex and Symmetry. The 86 waist Pollards from a few years back were burly in the 186 cuz they hadn't figured out how to mill the Maple thinner without skis breaking.
Now that K2 is making Lines with legit machines/tooling I'd be shocked if there wasn't a big Anthem in the near future.
Ironic then that Line LOST money on that mold isn't it. They didn't sell enough to break even on having it in the lineup, not to mention lots of them broke and had to be replaced cuz lot's of the early baller big mountain freestyle cross over kids were killing it on them.
Line not making money on that very ski is the sole reason that the Invader and the Anthem only come up to 178cm! Ain't it a b.
if u guys love those 186 pollard pros so much why dont u buy mine which are mounted an inch back from center with s914 only a small not even inch long core shot on the base which was repaired with prestige
THE ADDICT PRO IS 10% STIFFER THAN THE ADDICT. Fischer added a carbon fiber layer in both the tip and the tail on the addict pro to stiffen it 10% more than the addict. They also put a die cut top sheet and base with doesn't make it perform any better but definitely looks killer.
