we was getting along just fine, anyways you only entered once you were sure we could back your wimpy ass up, and then right affter our war for independence you copy cats started your own, except you failed misarably had a riegn of terror fallowed by an emporer just a few years after your rev. war. then you were starting to lose to england in 1810's then along comes our navy and we blow the shot out of them but you still lose all navel athority you had then we jump to WWI, you would have gotten your ass kicked if Engalnd and we did not come and save you. WWII you still got your ass kicked with england helping you, it took like what a week for the Nazis to be in Paris, then we come along and save your ass. adn right affter that you continue to show your amazing fighting skills by getting your paratroopers (best soldiers) distroyed in Indo-china by a few gun wielding asians. quickly fallowed by the same unit getting smashed out of Algeria by the FLN. again just a few gun wielding terrorists. not an impresive record infact the only war you won was the one where you were fighting your selfs
never seen anyone put so much time into researching ihis retorts. but who cares man, make love not war, go to france, get wasted, much rather do that than wait till im 21 in the good ol US of A
What!?! The Moors and their impact on Europe (mostly through conflict) that came about with them are crucial in the devlopment of Europe and the Western world
They didn't get to England because of Martel. 8th century England wasn't exactly dope shit. In short, the small kingdoms that plauged England, well, they would have been walked over. The successive developments throughout European history were directly and indirectly fascilitated by the defeat at Tours. Without that, who knows what would have come about.
the moors never would have crossed the english chanel and well the vikings were stomping around england at that time. speaking of AoE though I cant find the conquores right now which sucks but I did just watch blood dimond which is an amazing movie
back to the subject, the moors would have been whiped out by Harry Potters Predecesors any way. and the moors lived in tents tents don't do so well in England where it snows occationaly
A couple of things: first, the Moors crossed the strait of gibrlater, so why wouldn't they cross the English Channel as they see fit?
Second, the vikings weren't in England till almost the close of the century. The Moors, had they advanced north (hell, they were only like 150 miles from the Channel at their peak) and crossed could have done so before the vikings went to England (Spain fell in 711, they were all the way in Tours just two decades later); England would have fallen without contention. Now the Moors vs. Vikings would have been interesting. I guess the only way to have fun imagining that would be Saracens vs. Vikings in a goold ol RM gam in AoE II TC.
And third, blood diamond is great. Glad you finally watched it (kohl, have you?)
whoo mr. look it up, the weather in the english chanel is decidely worse. anyway it does not matter since the Normans trounced them before they got that far which brings us back to the secondary orrigonaly conversation talking about how much Nick and his fellow frogs suck at war. So yes the Normans were french but after realizing that they were good at fighting they decided to become english so they moved over there around 900 or so and beat up the saxson's Putting us as we are today with good strong fighters comign out of england and some week pusy wine drinking (like domer) aristocrats in France. and by the way I can trace my ancestry back to William the Conquerer.
first, i didnt look up the distances on the two waterways. I've been on both, learned from both, so badda bing, badda boom.
second, yes the weather is worse on the English channel, but it is by no means of the imagination impassible. Seafaring technology goes back thousands of years, and despite being rather elementary, it could get the job done. I believe the different Islamic groups had some pretty adaquate seafaring abilities, demonstrated by their campaigns in the eastern Mediterranean.
third, my ancestors were no wine drinkin French. they were good ol barbarian savages fuckin with the Romans.
France is sick, no doubt about it, and despite their more recent history, they are very influencial.
