Getting Screwed Over

Well, as some of you may remember, there was a pair of brand new 2003 1260's for sale, and it was posted on this site. I messaged the guy and asked him for the price and shipping to my location (this is during early June). So we get an unbelievable price ($150.00) and figure out the shipping and the only way he says I can pay is through a money order and he will send me back the skis. So I send him the money order, and after some problems it gets to him.. So he says he sent it (July 5th) and then mails me a week later, after I e-mailed him countless times, telling me that the skis are still at his post office and he will try sending them again. After this I don't receive any feedback until July 20th after I have tripped on him in so many e-mails and try calling him, and he says that he doesn't kno whats going on because the skis are at his dads and he hasn't talked to him.. so I have remained e-mailing him and am worried about getting fucked over.. any advice on how i should deal with this? I kno his dad's address and phone number, and asked him for his.

i have the address of his dad.. dude says he lived there for a bit and now must be at his moms.. my buddy just got his license and he would drive me down, and i could get shit sorted out, but again, whenever i call his dads number i get a recording saying the phone line is being check for trouble..

is the person you bought them from 'thegetupkid'? cuz i remember him selling 1260s...and from his posts he looked like an asshole, and not very trustworthy...he even stole my icon, for gods sake. so i would say try and meet him face to face; you probably wont get much done emailing him and stuf

yea.. i didn't know much about the sale, and was jsut so happy about a good deal.. but yea if it comes down to it i will just drive there and get my money/the skis/something of equal value.. i really hope it doesn't but look at how long ive been waiting and it definitley don't look good.

you just have to send him one more really official email threatening lawyers, just say if you dont hear back in 48 hours you will be contacting lawyers and the police immediatley, thatll get his ass moving
