Brake size, for fat skis

I have some px 12s and im getting 4frnt VCT with 104 waist
and i measured my brakes and they are 100ish

im taking it that im going to have to either get new brakes or bend the brakes or something
becuase unless i mount these with the brake at the very center chances are they wont work

what should i do?

I bent my standard brakes for my px12, only to find out i had widebrakes in my closet. Rossi brakes are a bitch to bend. theya re really strong. Just bend them out a little, and they will fit. Bend SLOWLY! I snapped my FKS brake bending too fast, now its a hunt for a new set for cheap, or a new brake.

take em to a shop, they will bend them for you cause it only a few mm. its easy to bend them a bit, its when you have a standard width brake and try to put it on something 90+, then it gets tricky.

if you have a heat gun, warm up the break before you bend it. It's a LOT easier.

dont warm it too mcuh cause it makes the metal weaker and will brake when you bend it.

Just take a a pipe, put it over the break and start reefing on it.

dont worry about it. i had px 12s (100 brake) mounted on my vcts no problem and its only like 4mm anyways

you should be able to do it fairly easily - its only about 2.5mm on each brake arm that needs to be bent out

if you can get your hands on a vice and a pipe (e.g. trolley pole, ski pole etc) then its all good - (you may not even need a pipe to do it, although its easier), just find a way to get some leverage on it and bend away

bending an rossi brake to over 10-15mm wider gets much harder though - and as said above, shops are often reluctant to do so from a liability point of view - some will do it though if its not major
