Well hey, you do have some kinda valid points that I would agree with if it was a "pro" movie.
1.) First of all we all went to Utah for school. The skiing there is just an amazing perk, especially since most of us are from places that don't get much snow or have much terrain. I truly hope to be able to travel alot more next year and hit more original, less played spots.
2.) I'm not sure which one you are reffering to, there were 2 in the trailer, but one of them you really couldn't take much bigger and with the other one there wasn't a ton of snow and were rocks underneith the light 12 inches of snow that had just fallen... I don't know how big you want to go with conditions like that.
3.) Back to the point that we all go to school in Utah, we are making an "am" movie. We don't have a budget or funding to travel to all these untapped places. I wish we did...hopefully in the future though.
4.) I'm sorry if that same shot and angle was in another movie. I've seen quite a large variety of ski and snowboard movies so I personally don't recall it. Perhaps you could enlighten me though, if it truly is a copped shot then I will agree with you that it is kinda lame.
5.) Sorry if pro's have done better tricks then us, and I really don't think it was ever claimed to be original. Butters are fun...cliffs are fun, just accept it as a regular shot. Nothing more, nothing less.
6.) I will agree that we released alot of footy over the year, but I would hardly say you can find most of it on NS. There are alot of shots from previous edits on NS in the trailer, mainly so we can hold on to all of the footage that hasn't been released so all the people who buy this movie have something enjoyable to see with a bunch of footage they haven't seen.
Now I'm not usually one to go on and defend shit like this, I think it works a whole lot better just to let the skiing and editing speak for itself. But I felt it was necessary with this post. Just keep in mind that this is in face an "am" movie. If you're looking to see shots from all sorts of exotic locations with all sorts of new technology then this isn't your movie, check out Level1, Plehouse, and PBP; they all do a damn good job. But if you're looking to see a group of friends out skiing, having fun, and trying to put together the best possible movie with the funding, resouces, and time they are provided, which isn't a ton, then check it out. Hopefully enough people see the potential and support is that way we can do a whole lot more of the original stuff you and everyone else would like to see in our future endeavors.
Well hey theres my little rant, enjoy the summer. Catch ya later.
