well i just bought a 99 jeep grand cherokee limited and its got some pretty nice stock subs in it but they rattle like fuck its not even funny, what can i do to stop this instead of going back to the dealer ship if its something easy?
they make a sound buffer fabiric you can get at like autozone
you just glue it around the speaker and it helps buffer the soundwaves going to the metal around it
Like this guys says. Buy some sheets of dynamat and pull off the inside side panels and line your car with this stuff. Also trace your license plates and put some in between them and your car. Tighten everything thing you can. This will drastically change your cars sound. It is kind of a pain but well worth it. I hate nothing more than people with license plates that rattle from their subs. If you are going to have a sytem take the time and do it up the right way. here is a place to find some
