im  getting ym first car this summer when i get enought money and am thinking about either and eclipse(95-99) or a legacy or imprezza what is better i wouldnt be doing much winter driving besides school and around town cause i would take my parents like bigger car

and if anyone knows what insurance would be about that would be dope

eclipse would get better mileage and 5-spds are a lot more fun. sounds like you wouldn't need the all wheel drive of a subaru since you can just take your parents car. eclipse is a lot smaller as far as seating goes and the soft top may have some leaks. as far as the suby goes, it needs brakes which isnt very cheap. if you are seriously interested in both of them, take them both to a mechanic you trust and have tehm go through and check for issues

+1 to what sphere said.

The eclipse will be more to insure. I hate convertables. They are loud in their older age, plus they can leak. Also Only girls should drive them (with a few exceptions).

I dont like the subi though either. AWD isnt necessary for you, you mitsu will get better mpgs.

word i def want a 5 speed way more fun to drive my dad said for me to get the brake on the subru would be like 750-1kish but i kbb'd both cars and they are way underwhat they sayand he trusts subaru more but eclipses areway doper but a lot mroe insurance

im not teh biggest converti fan but it the best price for like the exact car i want(- the convertible part....)

ya im in the car cult how much do u pay in insurance? i know i would pay a lot more cause its my first car and im a 16yr old guy driver so ya...
