Dude, X=ten is what really got me into ski movies. I wasn't really into ski movies until I saw that movie. X=ten is still one of my favorite PBP movies.
War and 1242 also killed it.

Propaganda, Happy Dayz, 1242, X were the best films PBP made, war and ski porn were just the same damn movie with different footage, just clips put together to music. Sure thats cool, but it gets old fast. All of those old movies seemed to have so much progression and shit, and war and ski porn were just the same tricks and shit(other than urban).

It has occured to me that something is starting to happen in skiing. There are more than one followings! THIS IS A GOOD THING!!! What can start to happen is what happened in snowboarding! And skateboarding. There will soon be niche's. Its nice to think that its all skiing, but truth be that there are just as many kids who want to see sick park action, as there are big mtn enthusiasts as there are bc jibbers and urban too!
I honestly don't want to watch much park because to me all the lips and landings are similar enough. While there are many variations of tricks, for me I can relate best to hitting natural and personalized bc features. I like to watch big mtn but there is a point where I can't relate to it due to my lack of REAL big mtn experience. For me I love to watch all pow/bc jib movies. MORE by absinthe was a beautiful thing.
Think about snowboarding...to have a movie like love/hate, and then a movie like pop in the same year...thats where skiing will have the room to evolve to! The more people there are skiing the more money will be available for everyone to cater to their specifics. Its beautiful. Perhaps some animosity will be relieved as skiing grows.

RFA is definitely not the weakest, probably one of their stongest behind 1242. they definitely miss the creative influence of iberg, he just saw things differently and no two of his movie were the same (where as decsesare has had movies that were similar recently, leaving it feeling a bit stale at times). and a big difference is iberg does not necessarily look for the biggest shit to film, but the most progressive, if you watch RFA again, you'll notice that a good number of the things being done are now comonplace of todays movies. and pollard and candide both went bananas in that movie.

I agree that those companies you listed all exude some of the catagories I was talking about, but to some level they all do a bad job of overlapping. Im talkin movies with nothin but park, nothin but urban, nothin but bigmtn, and nothin but sled access bc. Thats what I wanna see. Then theres NOOOO bitching too be had.
