FREE LIFT TICKETS AT CRESTED BUTTE MOUNTAIN RESORT

Ski FREE is back!

Mt. Crested Butte, CO--You have always heard that nothing is "free", well, they lied. Skiing and riding is absolutely, positively, incredibly, 100 percent FREE, with no strings attached at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) from November 25 through December 15, 2007.

CBMR will once again be giving away lift tickets for three weeks. You don't have to enter anything, buy anything, do any fancy dance steps or answer any trivia questions to be able to ski or ride Crested Butte Mountain for FREE. All you need to do is go to the ticket office during these days and one of CBMR's cheerful ticketing specialists will smile, give you a lift ticket and send you to the slopes to ski or ride for FREE. Just come on down and enjoy the great product that our mountain has to offer.

"We want guests to come 'test drive' Crested Butte," said Randy Barrett, Vice President and General Manager. "We have done so many improvements since the Mueller's took the helm; we want to show them off. Everyone will be able to see and sample Colorado's Best Corduroy(tm) and our commitment to great early season skiing and riding, all for FREE!"

The former "Ski Free" promotion, the most successful ski industry-wide program ever, ran from 1991 through 2000.

the money it brings into the community is what that town needs. too often, kick ass local establishments are forced to close their doors and leave town. this is an attempt by the new management to give back to the community a little. it's all part of the "Good Neighbor" policy so often overlooked in modern ski resorts.


props to CB. may you get some early season storms this fall, and you may just see me dropping some duckets down on elk ave. (and paradise, of course...)

Does this mean I have to sign a contract for a timeshare or some shit? I would hate to show up at the ticket window and be asked to sign a Crested Butte credit card application or something. If not though, hell yea that sounds freakin' awesome.

No seriously no strings attached, you could ride free for 3 straight weeks if you wanted to

And i did'nt meant to be a bitch in my first post, freeski is really good for our economy, it brings thousands of people into town to spend money that otherwise would never of come here. It just tends to get rather crowded on the 6 groomers we have open in early December when there are 4,000 people from Oklahoma and Texas camping in motor homes and carrying around sack lunches with balogney sandwiches gaping around everywhere.

Whatever, hopefully some of you NS'ers that have never been to the Butte will come check it out

Just so that everyone's clear on the dates for freeskiing, here they are: FREE skiing at Crested Butte is from Monday November 26th (the Monday AFTER Thanksgiving) through Friday December 14th... lift tickets will be half priced from opening day November 17th through November 25th...

and yes, and NS gathering with free lift tickets is a must

I am thinking of doing a long weekend in early December maybe. Is there any airports that are even close. I would be willing to throw some money (200 ish)for a lift from the airport and a floor to sleep on if the airport isn't that far. Any cheep motels nearby?. Thanks in advance for any info

gunnison airport is like 30 minutes away. gunnison is a college town so you wont have a problem finding a place. i live on campus if anything. lol.
