Mt. hood public park?

how is mt. hoods public park in the summer? how many jumps/ rails and how big are the jumps?
im trying to decide between that and like coc or hn, so i need to decide soon

its good, plenty of hiking, good vibe, plenty of jibs, some cool jumps. i'd honestly say you should go to hood as opposed to canada.

riding the public park is a chill way to go instead of camps. You can get a ton of skiing in, theres lots of people who ride public instead of private camps, and camping down below is better than staying indoors.

The quality of the park does depend when you go. Earlier (like June) is pretty good because there is more snow, you can usually ski down to the bottom of the mile without hiking, the park is decent (with a superpipe, rails and boxes, and jumps and so on).
The public park is especially good after the ASJ (early-middish july). The jumps then could be upwards of 50ft or more, sometimes a good assortment of rails, and the pipe could be really good, too.
Skiing into August could still be decent, although by that time the park will most likely be in a canyon, and requires hiing, but hey, still really fun.

The weather is also far better at Hood in the summer than it is in Whistler.

i was there a couple years ago and the public park was awesome, its way cheaper to just ski that park and you get much more skiing. the public park also had alot of nice rail and one big jump like 50 feet

last year they were like $42/day. Supply and demand you know? So roughly that again (rates aren't posted on website yet, but I assume somebody knows) and a summer season pass is $750.

if you'r egoing to ride the public park, find out when the Burton Abominable Snow Jam snowboard comp is, and plan to arrive in Oregon that day. They build a dope park for the comp. that, or just go in early june and they have a different park farther down that melts by late june. the Abominable Snow Jam is usually around July 10th ish?

This year the ASJ is on the 10th - 12th. The 10th is the QP comp at High Cascade, the 11th is Superpipe, and the 12th is the Slopestyle at Timberline.

I think Ill be there around that. It should be dope.

they have good shit in the summer but i was there a couple weekends ago and they had 4 jump, down rail, s-rail, 3 boxes (1 of them what an umbo or w/e the fuck box, halfpipe with a quartpipe/hip at the end, barrel, and a fridge!

bah, well I will be checking out the Public park this next week anyways.  I should be leaving tomorrow.  There are good skateparks to hit up near Tline right?  I think im going to be camping out, hit me up if you want to session up and blaze
