Replying to Adirondack Region

I live in the Syracuse area of central New York, but am considering moving up to the Adirondack region for college. Does anyone go to any of the SUNY or community colleges up in this area, if so what do you think? Basically I'm moving to get out of my town, but I can't really afford to move out of state yet. The Adirondack Region seems the best region in NY to get good skiing while still going to school. I have been considering Clinton, North Country, and Adirondack community colleges, hopefully to transfer within the next year or so. If anyone could drop some info about these schools or the surrounding area I would appreciate it.
