I know belongs in the non-ski gab but wtf, the season's over and I want to rant.

I don't really have a problem with skiers wearing tighter pants or whatever, each to his own on the mtn.

However, it seems like the ranks of emo kids at my college are growing at an alarming rate, it's like a damn infestation of boys wearing girl jeans, girls looking like boys, thrift shirts, bad haircuts w several colors, a caribiner w their keys on it hanging from a beltloop, vans w skulls on them and that "ohh life is so hard being me" attitude as they flip the hair out of their face and smoke a flavored cigarrette.

HOW LONG IS THIS SHIT GOING TO LAST??? It's one of the worst forms of conformity right now in my opinion.

At first I was like, wtf ya know, some emo music is cool and you can do whatever you like, but somehow, the whole culture started to annoy me.

Here's the main reason emo SUCKS. These kids are claiming aspects of a retro and post punk culture they have no roots in, it's just being packaged and sold to them by the Hot Topic. They already killed punk, I hope emo dies next.

OK rant over. Is this happening anywhere else???

i was at this festival on saturday and i saw the "scene" in that city, it was insain. i'v never seen more emo kids ever, at least 50 kids dressed in mostely black with bright coloured bandana's phanny packs and the tightest pants you could fathom they were actually scaring people away

You may think you're seeing a lot of emo kids when in fact your just muddling together stereotypes. Like me for example, i have a few pair of tight fitting jeans, and yes i like thrift store t-shirts. But the last time i listened to any music that could even be remotely emo is about 8th grade. So dont generalize and get a caribener for your keys it really helps you keep track of them/

this emo girl in one of my classes did a project on 'how to mosh'-it was hilariously stupid. I don't like how some people like death, suicide, being sad, destruction, etc. Its just such a stupid philosophy on life. Like why would you want to be said? There will always be people who aren't attractive, aren't rich, aren't intelligent and are starved by the monotony and culturelessness of suburbia, looking desperately for something to call an identity in a pathetic attempt not to look as mass-produced as the houses on their block. Unfortunately, mass culture is all they know, so they mob together and make a fad. For these people, there will be emo and trends like it. These trends are usually retarded, largely because, as mentioned earlier, these people aren't smart and have to exposure to culture that might have lent them some taste. Get used to it, because there'll be a next one, and it might actually be worse.

id rather see emo kids than fucking wiggers any day. i own a few pairs of semi-tight jeans, nothing like girl jeans just a little tight. i like bands like underoath, the used etc. but im sure as hell far from emo. some of my middle school friends are emo know, i dont hang out with them but i talk to them and theyre the same. they just act that way for attention...
