I shut down my laptop normally before i went to work yesterday. When i came home, i tried to turn it on and all the lights turned on but the screen didnt. It then made three high pitched beeps. I tried numerous times and it kept doing that. I took my battery out, and unplugged it for half a hour and that didnt work either. Has this happened to anyone, and does anyone know how i can fix this?

The 3 beeps are most likely an error code.  Call customer support and they should be able to tell you what it means.

Yes thankfully. Ive been talkin to a online "technician" for a hour, and he said its still under warantee. Ive done a power drain, and reset the ram, and none of those have worked so it looks like im sending it in.

when i set up my desktop and put my new motherboard in, i kept getting 3 beeps... turns out that somethings was not plugged in right... haha.. i bet you have a motherboard problem. that sucks

If it's a harddrive error, bios will still show up on the screen and then it will say "No Boot Device Found...".  I'll bet it just needs the cmos reset, but unfortunately, that's not an easy thing to do on a laptop since you have to have access to the motherboard.

quit posting, you are a complete idiot and dont know what your talking about.

this problem has to do with the hardware of the computer, not software, windows etc.

god i hate it when people say that sure i know many people with mac's and am hoping to get one soon but they arent indestructable...retard

all you guys need to get your shit straight. Macs arent just better because they dont have system/software problems. The way Apple warrenties macs makes them better as a computer, because when you get a problem like this (not that that would ever happen) you can just go to an apple which cant be more than 30 minutes form anyone, and have them fix it, and if you didnt drop your computer, and run it over, theyll fix it for free. You guys are just sooooo protective of your ideas, that you jump to conclusions. Macs are better all the way around, ask anyone that has both, including myself

ill just add that ive had a mac for 4 years, and the only problem ive had was a sticky key, and i got a new keyboard for free the next day....

dell, hp and other companies waranty their computers the same as apple...yes mac's are less likely to have problems, but you pay more for them thus the hardware should be better.

oh fuck yeah they are much better computers, i think i said that earlier...but you can buy a computer with the same level HARDWARE for cheaper, although the operating system is what is sooo much better...i was talking about hardware alone, not the overall computer.
