Replying to Idea for summer "skiing". Will it work?

Ight so here's the deal. I was in the shower this morning, thinking about skiing (as usual), and i was thinking about how i wont be able to ski for another 7-8 months. Then i got an idea. I have a pair of line snowblades in my basement that i havent used in ages (98 cm, i think) and i thought it would be a good idea to mount some skateboard trucks and wheels on each end of each ski, so that you could "ski" and carve down the street. has anyone done this before? will it work?
