Idea for summer "skiing". Will it work?

Ight so here's the deal. I was in the shower this morning, thinking about skiing (as usual), and i was thinking about how i wont be able to ski for another 7-8 months. Then i got an idea. I have a pair of line snowblades in my basement that i havent used in ages (98 cm, i think) and i thought it would be a good idea to mount some skateboard trucks and wheels on each end of each ski, so that you could "ski" and carve down the street. has anyone done this before? will it work?

cause i have no other use for faggotboards, and it would give me something to work on/do in the summer. might be kinda fun who  knows

just skateboard, its alot easier and alot more fun, think of it, you will spend a day or two making these things then use them for and afternoon and realize that all u can do is straightline a hill

people on my street already think im insane for sliding rails on my skis in the summer. i dont have much to loose lol

they ahve things called roller skiing for training for xc skiing..i would just get a summer set up

why not jsut inline. its mad fun u cna carv and shit if u really want or u can learn rails and jumps.

well. i only have 2 trucks with wheels. so that will only give me one ski that will roll. so my idea is screwed. if anyone else wants to do it go for it and let me know how it goes.

i tried that on an old pair of teneighties...like 145...but i put the trucks to far apart and when i steeped in the underfoot of the ski would touch the floor.....anyway waste of a project...
