it will absolutely never happen ever in a million years. He is seeking the nomination from the wrong party. He will never be nominated as a republican and if he ditches the republican party and runs as an independent, he won't win and he will just take votes away from the democrats.

no he is a true conservative, he is in the right party, bush , giuliani,romney rove are all neocons, not true republicans. and i hope he does take votes away from democrates, fuck hilary and obama, both are pro war, pro zionist puppets. and you and i both know those are the only two dems who have a chance. we need to support ron paul because he stands for the constitution , he is against the federal reserve, he is against world policing he is against raising taxes , he is against amnesty for illegals. he is not a frontrunner that is true but thats because people are brainwashed by the mainstream media and only talk about the corportaion backed fronrunners. hilary has raised 36 million dollars so far, she got over 1.5 mill from special interests, mitt romney got over 25 mill. ron paul has gotten 600k none from special interests. he stands for america, he wants to protect us but he doesnt want to go and carpet bomb countries killing thousands of innocents, he is smart and that truely scares people, for christ sake people thought he said we invited 9.11 when all he said was our foreign policy has blowback, that is true but people wont accept that out gov has put us in danger. im ranting and am not sure if this made sense but it is so frustrating when people do not support a man like this and want another pres JUST LIKE BUSH, and that is exactly what rudy,hilary,obama,mccain or romney would be like.

surely you refer to the republican debate about a week ago. He was given a chance (after implying that we invited 9/11) to set the record straight and say that we did not invite 9/11 but he did not.

because , first of all he didint say WE invited it, he said they attacked us because we have been over there bombing them, and oppressing them(support of israel and sanctions that hurt the civilians) he is 100% correct, they have a huge reason to hate us, get over it. your government made mistakes that cost lives and if you think we were attacked on 9.11 bcause of our freedom your a poor excuse of a human being. 2700 americans is horrible, i think it was easlily one of the worst days in history but how many innocent iraqis have we killed? near a million, they have a HUGE reason to hate us and to want to kill us. if i was an iraqi and had a family member killed by a bomb or by troops i would hate them, just like after 9/11 most americans HATED all middle eastern people and wanted to fucking nuke them. everyone should be made at rudy for using 9/11 the way he has, a fear tactic. all he has to do is say september 11th and people applaud.

...and the debate begins. You are technically right that he did not say the exact words. He did say words to that effect. I do not believe that the United States deserved to be attacked on 9/11. If you believe that then I you are a poor excuse for a human being. I would be interested to see a statistic backing up your claim of the US' killing of near a million innocent Iraqis. I'm not sure how you draw the conclusion that we are "oppressing them (support of israel and sanctions that hurt the civilians)." And it is now my government... I don't know if you are foreign but if not then it is our government and if so then I don't see why you are campaigning for a US presidential candidate. A lot of the world has hated the United States for a long time having nothing to do with our influence in the Middle East. I mean look at France - the US saved them from Nazi occupation (although, to their credit, they did put up a hell of a fight) and they hate the US anyways. I don't defend Guiliani's use of 9/11 for his political advantage, but I also don't defend Ron Paul's use of 9/11 as a reason to withdraw all influence from the Middle East. Oh, and as for all Americans HATING all middle eastern people and wanting to fucking nuke them - I think that is a bit of a generalization.

He is by far the best  and most intelligent speaking politician I will probably ever see in my lifetime.  Yea people are trying to tear him down, but they are failing miserably i.e Sean Hannity [who is a fucking dumbass idiot who does not deserve to be anywhere near national media] but as they say, any publicity is good publicity.

Ron Paul has won the first two GOP repub debates, so how can you say hes not running in the right party? hahahahah.  People are finally waking up.

First of all, Romney won the last debate. And the only reason why Ron Paul has done so well in these debates is that he is attracting liberal votes for his stance on Iraq. Liberal votes are not going to get him a republican nomination.

1.i didint say the attackes were justified, i think that our actions(im being neutral on what my opionion of our actions is) have caused a lot of people mostly muslim to hate us, we have destroyed there country. before 9.11 israel was carpet bombing palestine daily for years and we supported them. we have bases on there" holy land". i dont think they have a right to want to kill us but i understand that it is not from us having freedom and tivo.


2.opression can happen in many different ways, personally i think bombs and sanctions hurt the people, again im not saying we shouldnt have done those things, im leaving my PERSONAL opinion out for now and trying to talk about Ron Paul. its pretty basic knowledge that when you bomb and country our support a country that uses terrorism to fight terrorism that there will be blowback and people will hate you for it, and when combined with religion they want to kill you and are willing to die themselvs.


3.France does not hate us, that is typical fox news garbage, they didint support us going to war with iraq. ummmm looking back dont ya think maybe they were right? france is a liberal country, they dont agree with us, unless they are all extremists , which some might argue, im confused as to how you can say they all hate us.


4.Ron Paul is not saying we should withdraw because of 9/11 , i have no idea where you got that from. he is simply against pre-emptive war and world policing. its not OUR job even the the christians in this country has made most of us believe its our moral obligation.

His stance on the war in Iraq is that of an average liberal in today's politics and not that of an average conservative. In the debate, his main topic of discussion was on the issue of the war in Iraq. From this, I can fairly safely draw the conclusion that his support in the polls directly following the debates comes from those who support his stance on the issue debated: Iraq.

Did you ever stop to think that the War on Iraq is a big deal in the debates right now?  All of the candidates are being asked what their stance on the subject is, not just Paul.  Alot of the pre debate talk is saying that "Iraq" is going to be the main thing debated about, which makes sense because this person will be taking office with this 'war' still going on probably when he enters the white house, so its pretty important.

OH and pleease show me proof that says anyone else other than Ron Paul has won the debates,.

i think your statement is wrong but you are not wrong for believing it, people in america have forgotten that a true conservative would not raise taxes, give amnesty to illegals and most importantly not go around the world and try to install governments identical to ours, that is all a liberal idealogy. Ron Paul is a breath of fresh air because he is reminding us that there is still hope, neo-conservatives are worst of each party, they are for a large federal government(liberal) and think christianity should be in politics(more republican) Ron Paul is a conservative constitutionalist(sp?)

Yes I did stop to think that Iraq is the most important topic of debate. The only reason why Paul is getting so much support in the debates is from his support from liberals. I think that the majority of liberals voting in the post-debate polls would vote for Paul for aforementioned reasons, while conservative votes are split up amongst the other candidates.

The fact is:  That Ron Paul has alot of support, whether you think he is going to win or not, is not the deciding factor.  If he gets the sponsorship for the Republican party, he is basically a shoe in.  That will be the deciding fact and that is not up to you.  Paul was winning that Fox news survey for a long ass time during the debate until suddenly at the end Romney got ahead (probably massive amounts of religous people calling in and voting).  If you look at all the other surveys, it says that Paul won the debate by a mile.  Of course Fox news says he lost lol.....

He probably would win if he got republican sponsorship. I would vote for him if he got the republican nomination. But he won't. I think that the only reason he is doing so well in the polls is due to his support from anti-war activists. Let's face it: the war in Iraq is an unpopular one. I don't think that anyone will refute that. Ron Paul is the only one that has stood on the republican stage to support starting to withdraw US troops as soon as possible. This makes anti-war activists happy and thus they vote for him. The rest of people voting will cast their votes amongst the other candidates

If religious voters is an excuse for why Romney won then anti-war voters is an excuse for why Paul almost won. As for the implication that Fox News didn't post an accurate summary of the poll (or that their result differed from others (what others?)) - Fox News was the one conducting both the debate and the poll so their guess is as good as anyone's.

And I can comprehend a paragraph just fine. I can also comprehend that Ron Paul is not a front runner and I can comprehend that Eleven is not absolutely right. I have a very difficult time taking a politician seriously - much less supporting one - who subscribes to conspiracy theories regarding 9/11 and the Kennedy assassination.

It's a shame that he doesn't get more media coverage. SO many people vote (easily enough to swing a vote either way) on who they know best and not in accordance to any knowledge they have of a candidate beyond the basic commercials and newspaper ads. People who don't know or care about politics won't vote for Ron Paul, which is such a shame.

Not you, Paul. Run up to elections are always smoke and mirrors.

He's planning on trying to pass a bill to get rid of getting rid of the federal reserve. (PLANNING!!!) Even if he does, he's going to replace it with a gold based world bank style economy. This will get America out of the pit they're in at the moment but it is designed to create money from nothing by issuing bonds off the gold to spark business into a boom. This will put America in more debt to the world bankers.
Also, his position on liberties is no doubt a big fat lie. If he gets in power you will see what I mean. He is very right wing, make no bones about it.
