Red mountain

Is this place any good?I live in ontario and i'm planning on going out west for march break and from what ski canada says about it there pretty good.But I want to know what you think about it.Thanks

good terrain, lots of drops and steeps. even better for touring if your into that. terrain park is iffy and the chairs are pretty slow but im pretty sure thers gonna be a new chair goin in for next season

red mountain is dope. i've been there for the past two seasons and it's sweet. it's got amazing terrain, but there are a few downfalls. the lift is slow and tends to break down a few times a year, the town is small so if you want a big party scene it's not the place (although the people that are there are super cool. whitewater get's more snow because the selkirks are a more dominent mountain range so make storms that just blow over red stall and drop more snow. but red has bigger, better, and more challanging inbounds terrain. and it's closer to town, so more convenient. as for backcountry, they both over some of the best, easiest to access you can find. with kootney pass only an hour away for some touring.

that's all i have to say for now.

Drive an hour and come ski Whitewater too. It's worth it on MOST days

i don't think i'll go to whitewater i want a place with more vertical metres and i plan on doing a little park and i'm pretty sure whitwater doesn't have a park.thanks for the help

Last season we had a few rails and a 15 foot jump. So yeah, if you're lookign for more terrain, Red would be the one to go to.

Say goodbye to Ontario. If you're like most folks that ski here for a short time, you'll likely end up coming again and again until you stay. That's what happened to us.... Trees and steeps, great touring, a mix of most everything actually.

theres always good storms at the beggining of dec, around christmas, middle of jan, then it gets warm for a bit with no snow, then it pukes for the first 2 weeks in march and then its really sunny
