There's a 117 footer at a quarry near my house, and it's called Jesus. A few people have done it without getting hurt. I think one broke his wrist, but that's the worst that's happened (that I know of...). So I figure, "If they could do it, so could I." There's a possiblity that I'll go for it this summer, but before I make my decision I wanted to see if anyone has experienced a drop this big and what it was like? Any tips or helpful comments would be appreciated.

Alright, honestly, I don't understand why I'm recieving all this fucking hate. I asked for advice on dropping something that big, and people come at me for it!? Get a fucking life! Its deffanatly do able, but you could also deffanatly get really hurt. I have jumped a 90 and it didnt hurt, i didnt wear shoes or anything and the arch of my foot kinda cramped up after because i landed flat footed but didnt get bruised or anything. Off the same thing people have died though so its kinda sketch. Someone rode a horse off of the cliff and killed the horse but he lived so if he can ride a horse off a 90 footer you should be able to jump a 115. Just do it

Trust me, no one would think anything less of you if you didn't. Having broken your back once before, I'd say it really isn't worth it. Trust me, once you get injured, you are going to have to know what you can and cannot do.

Don't you know any divers? Just let them take down a shitload of tanks strapped together to the bottom of where you plan to land and open them up, if that doesn't break the water tention nothing will... ok, will cost you some money on airfills maybe.

ya, and coat your body in lube so that you slip through the water better.

in seriousness, you should do some practice jumps. form is going to be key at those heights. maybe consider some mittens? have some guys in the water (cpr certified) in case you knock yourself out.

FYI you can't "break" surface tension by splashing the water, that will do absolutely nothing. The only way I know of to relieve surface tension is putting soap in the water--try it by some water skippers sometime, it's kind of funny to watch them sink.

Maybe, but I think it would be pretty easy to splash around a bottle of soap where you're landing given the water isn't moving. That, and it's fuckin' sweet watching those smug little water skippers fail.
