There's a 117 footer at a quarry near my house, and it's called Jesus. A few people have done it without getting hurt. I think one broke his wrist, but that's the worst that's happened (that I know of...). So I figure, "If they could do it, so could I." There's a possiblity that I'll go for it this summer, but before I make my decision I wanted to see if anyone has experienced a drop this big and what it was like? Any tips or helpful comments would be appreciated.
Whattt, that's a way easy jump. You don't have trees or rocks that you have to jump way far out to avoid. I'd say go for it, but then again, that mindstate has fucked me over a few times, hah. Looks fun, dude. Give'r.
make sure you land perfect ive been practicing my form off an 80 and a 90 and im feeling pretty confident but shit can happen
my ski coach told me that his brother is an intense cliff jumper and aparently from that high up when people die its not cause of the impact its cause part of tehre heart rips off or something when they go under water so fast....
i think if u feel ready n confident u can do it. have ur friends in like a lil bout out there with paddels hitten the water, and kicken there feet in the water n have ur friends jumpin out of the boat right b 4 u jump. u should b set n have ur friends kickin n hitten the water the fuckin time.
but if u feel ur self 2 start fallin back look forward n down
i would never plan on jumping something that big....what do you wanna risk for 5 fuckin' seconds? walking?
these people want you to jump because it might** be cool. i bet all the people that have already jumped that bridge aren't gonna be doing it anymore, cuz the risk is huge man. stick to the smaller fun shit. who cares if you jumped the biggest, what matters is that you enjoy the rest of your life being able to ski and walk. that's just my take on it.
make sure you close your legs. maybe even wear a water thermal suit or whatever they're called saw it on xtreme stunts on tv and he had a full body suit on a 100+
I didn't do it this summer. I've been perfecting my form on a bunch of 80+ and I've been doing a lot trick stuff just having fun. I still haven't made up my mind on whether I'm going to do it or not. If I do, it will be next year and only if I'm prepared and 100% confident. One of the things that really gets at me is that I already have a bad back (I broke it in 3 places skiing). I'm worried that even if my entry was perfect I'd end up wrecking my back even more. I wouldn't be doing it to be 'cool' like some of you have said, I'd be doing it for personal accomplishment. I know a lot of you can't understand that, but whatever...
the video dosent do it justice at all and its probably not 110 feet thats just what everyone says but if you saw a better video of it its definatley 95 at least
i completly understand the personal accomplishment thing, this summer there was a 55 footer that lots of ppl were doing but im scared of hights so i couldnt do it and i just stood ontop on it for like 4 hours in total and everytime i didnt jump i felt like shit, not cuase of what other ppl think i just dont like not being able to do things i commit to
