yep. when weather and traffic don't suck.
if your ridin weekends...traffic...blows dick.
but there are a lot of amazing parks and park skiers out here. from what i hear the racing is pretty top notch too, if you're into getting wierd in tight pants.

keystone for me, about an hour and a half on weekdays, try and get a day off spring semester so you can go skiing when its empty, so much better than the weekend

the park doesn't come close to breck or keystone and its not worth a season pass

it's a joke, and way to state the obvious, keystone and breck were two of the best parks on the planet this year.

you cant deal with 70 on the weekends so you go to aspen? isn't that an oxymoron?!

go to winterpark, its better than the rest of the i-70 resorts. or transfer schools. you'll be over i-70 so fast after 2 years of skiing around that area

winterpark?? you serious? if you're trying to ski park keystone or breck are by far your best bet. everyone wants to think winterpark is 'so much closer' than the other resorts, but then you get off the exit and have roughly 20 miles of driving the pass into winterpark still ahead of you, then you get there and its a junkshow for parking, the park guys there love boarders wayy more than skiers, theres an underlying tele-hippie vibe.. for the amount of effort i think keystone is much more worth it in my opinion

no it's okay, they can go to winterpark, the lift line is bad enough as it is.

at least winter park is not as flat as summit county. but this year, i had trouble getting to winter park as berthoud pass is too tempting ;-)

what it lacks in flatness it makes up for in the shortness of the steep pitches.

everywhere in this area that is steep is short.

no kidding. but i thought this was an argument about why you think the summit county resorts are better than winter park. i took that to mean lift accessed.

bottom line is they both suck for skiing lines, but keystone and breck have great parks.

no. i'm just in a bad mood. summer school will do that.
but yes, they all suck. which is why i'm in summer school in the first place so i get outta here quicker.

that's the ticket. im taking an online class too this summer. so we now agree: summit county=good for park, not anything else.

it really doesn't feel like that long of a drive even, helps if you go with friends and get away early too
the trick to going on weekends is going up friday night and spending the night at a friends, instead of dealing with all the assholes on 70 on saturday morning!

or just getting up early and beating the assholes there. and it's a lot easier for you guys to do it than it is for us up here in the fort.

ahhh... good ol steamboat, where we can drive to summit county or winter park in an hour and a half, no I-70 or massive traffic...
All times are Eastern (-5)
