Who owns a VX2100?

alright so if you do, i have a question.
i just got one. Is the Microphone supposed to be able to move a little bit, i can kind of "wiggle" the mic on mine a bit. it seems like its supposed to be like that? but im not sure?

i use to have a GL2 before this one and the mic on it was completly solid on the camera......this is why i am wondering if this is normal

definitly normal. gl mics are rock hard but vx mics are supposed to be able to do exactly what your describing. It shouldnt be drapping down a bunch or flopping a round but you can definitly move it if you touch it.

Ya mine does that,make sure when you put it in a bag you put some kind of arm band or foam inbetween the lens's body and the microphone to prevent it from getting smashed.
