yesterday, i was upstairs when i heard the loudest screaming ever from my mom and sister, so i ran downstairs, and my dad was unconscious and he had a heart attack...i tried to give him CPR, but it didnt work, and he died, like in my arms. it was the worst thing ever, im gonna have such a hard time getting over it...i was wondering if anyone else has been through this and what did they do...

Unlike many other people on this site, Joel, I CAN'T relate. And I'm glad I can't.

However, all I can say is sorry man. This crosses my mind ALL the time for some reason, especially as I see my parents get older. I get so scared man, so scared. I just TRY to imagine what it would be like, and no matter HOW many times I wish they weren't here, I know I don't really wish that.
I can only TRY to imagine what you're going through, and to tell you the truth, I think I'm trying pretty well, and in a sense, feel how you feel, but just in my head.
I guess all I can say is try to remember all the good times...maybe videos? pictures? stories with family, as hard as that may be?

for what it's worth. I feel for you man.

I can not imagine what it must be like to lose someone close in front of your own eyes.

I know what you mean about one of the hardest things is seeing your mom burst into tears.

Just take it one day at a time, and you have to just let go.

thanks guys.
we had the funeral today, and it was rough, but rather than a place for mourning, it was a celebration of his life. i came out of it knowing lots of things about my dad that i never knew, and i am pouder of him now than i ever was.

naw dez, its just a diff way to handle it. some just be inclusive and dwell, and see someone else take it a different way where they share the news and try to receive remorse as showing off. thats not the way i look at man.. everyone deals with stuff differently.
