my ski brake broke but not the parts have actually snapped. it just kind of came apart, so i figure i can put it back together. problem is though that i cant get the thingy attached to the spring to go back into the top part (the part you step on when you snap in). is there a trick to doing this?
or better yet is it bad for your bindings to ski w/o brakes? like will it be too much stress on the heel peice w/o the brake there to support your foot also? i dont really need a brake b/c im just doin my summer set-up
it would be stupid to ski without a brake, cuz as soon as it pops off bye bye ski, go to ur local ski shop (repair shop) and they should replace it for free if not like 5 er 10 bucks i went in a repair shop and i say sooo many broken brakes, not a big deal, unless the binding is broken, in that case you can send it in for a warrenty, but deffinitly get a brake.
i broke like 6 snow breaks this season, by the end of the year i was skiing with no breaks on either ski, dangous and stupid as hell. My ski rocketed down the hill and into the trees so many times when i would fall, i got lucky i didnt hit anyone. No shop around here would sell me a break though because they had to take it off of a full set they were selling and they couldnt order one for me i guess. For a summer set up you should be good. some bindings need at least a heel plate thing on there to keep your boot in others you cant take right out
ok i just smashed the thing that was stickin up down with a hammer so my heel fit in fine. gonna want to get new brakes though but all the shops here are closed till next fall. is there somewhere i can buy brakes online?
What kind of bindings are they? I had to buy some new brakes for my Tyrolias back in Febuary and managed to buy some threw Head. They had a website with a shitload of bindings and binding parts like brakes, etc. Just search the internet.
