ima tell you children a little story right quick.



soooooooooooo im around 13th south, 7th west buying baseball cards from a mexican dood right? well he decides hes gonna meet 2 other cars at tthe sametime..... so hes like como say yama ima go behind this warehouse. so we follow....(btw its sunday NIGHT.... no one is even around these ware houses) and what you know, a cop pulls behind and everyone scrambles to get away... except im the last one out... so i dont drive like a nascar drive i just leisurly take my time and wiat to get pulled and sent to the ever so great jail.


he pulls me over and were talking and i fessed up BUT BUT BUT BUT i told him that some kid i new back in high school named Nick Branfield called me and offered me $20 dollars for a ride..... when he asked "why do you seem so nervous" i relpy... "well sir... i mean your not stupid im not gonna lie i did do something wrong because i very well knew i was taking this kid on a drug deal" blah blah blah hes like whats this kids number i go "ummm he called from a pay-phone" than he asked what drug it was so i said ******* and ****** and he goes.... "well im not gonna right anything upbut just make sure you dont get involved with the wrong kind of people.... have a good night and be smart"



well i thank the lord he did that. but good googily miss moogily he is an idiot.

Second week in Utah me and 7 others get busted sliding a rail. $282 each for that little stunt. No warning, nothing..... University Cops are power tripping dicks. I swear if I could spit in one person's face it would be this huge redheaded cunt police officer. She was a bitch.

i've gotten out of at least 3 m.i.p.'s and 1 dewie. praise god. don't know if its the cops or me, or just good luck. also, of the probably 20 + times i've been busted hitting rails i've never actually been ticketed.

Fucking West Valley Cops are retarded. 

So I'm driving down Redwood road and turn onto some residential street.  Not paying attention to the speed limit I get up to a whopping speed of 35 mph.  I'm kind of distracted because we are looking for the damn UPS shipping place.  Next thing I know, there is a cop RUNNING out into the street waving me down.  He basically jumps in front of my car and I have to slam on my brakes not to mow him over.  The fuckers had set up a speed trap by hiding in the damn bushes and sniping people with their radar guns.  And instead of getting on their motorcycles to pull someone over they decide its much safer to jump in front of the moving vehicle.

I admit I was speeding, so I wasn't going to contest the ticket, whatever.  I go in to pay it and go to the police station to complain about the way it was handled.  It was entirely unsafe and could have ended up horribly for a driver of one of the cops.  I talk to the officer's Sargent and he tells me that he gives the officers the choice to either get on their bikes to pull the car over or if they want to jump out in front of speeding vehicles.  He goes on to say that it would be my fault if I hit the officer! I told him bullshit and just walked away.  It was absolutely ridiculous.  </rant>

the only cops i've heard of being assholes are the university police, my encounters with the real salt lake police have been rather pleasant, one of them worked at snowbasin and he was tryin to get me and my friends to go ski there.

Yeah, that sucks.  I was longboarding by my house back in Pennsylvania one night last summer, and a cop came up behind me.  I freaked out because I'm used to the Utah cops saying, "You can't be on the streets, let me see you're ID, I'm going to take your skateboard as evidence blah blah blah," but this guy was just like, "Are you okay? I was worried because it's 1 a.m. and you're alone in the middle of nowhere."  I told him I was fine and he just went away.  Then there's the time I got an "improper roadway position" ticket...I got an MIP for having a glass of wine with dinner...I've gotten busted on handrail call-ins before we finished setting up, but it took them 6 fucking hours to show up when my car got stolen...

We were water ballooning last night and I threw at this care but my loon exploded in mid air and the car drove past and it was a cop...That would have been iteresting. They would have called every cop in Bountiful on us. They're angry people

oh boy oh boy....lets talk about the 3 times we had our hookahs confiscated from the dorms, completely THC-free, and eventually returned to us (with the arm of the dean of students) but lacking some $200 in shisha and bowls. that was something.

or when they tore my room apart and threatened me with all sorts of badness when someone "hinted" that I was a coke dealer. They were really disappointed to not find anything...I was waiting for them to plant something.

or flipping a U and maybe adding a hair too much gas to chirp the rear wheels and getting pulled over for reckless driving....got out of that one though, turns out the cop races at the track on his off days.

or the 4 times they came to our room one summer on suspicion that we had alcohol, searched and seized all our shit, but no MIPs issued.

even found cops in your backyard? ask them what they're doing and they'll tell you "police business." Give them any lip and they'll threaten to arrest you right there. Point out the constitutionality of what they just said and they shut up right quick.

we had just started to go water ballooning the other night, when one cop pulled us over for a "mis-lit license plate" and thought we had special ingredients in the balloons, and searched the car. They thought i was baked tho, searched me and everything, was funny

me and two kids were drunk and my sober friend is driving and we go to meet someone in albertson's parking lot. conveniently enough the friends had been throwing beer bottles around and someone called the cops and complained about their car. so we're parked next to their car with one of the lights on inside the car and a cop pulls up. By the time we get out of the car to get breathalyzed and shit there was a nice assortment of undercover park city cops, regualr park city cops, summit county sherriffs and utah highway police.

like 6-8 cars with 10 cops for 3 drunk kids

i mean shit, what if i decided i should punch one of em? you need atleast 9 other cops to back you up against a drunk 17 year old am i right?

and i had to piss so bad and they made me wait like 15 minutes before escorting me through albertson's to the bathroom

Ive been pulled over going 115mph on my bike on I-15 and didnt even get a ticket, the cop said "Nice bike, must be nice with these gas prices", "please don't switch lanes that fast you are scaring other motorists, have a nice day"

I think the cops are so nice around here, Ive been pulled over for dead registration exc, a ton of times and I rarely get a ticket.

Maybe you guys look like 16 year old punks

heh, I agree. Out of all the house parties I've thrown or been to while going to the U, I've never even heard of the cops writing tickets on the people throwing the party. At any given party the cops could write tickets for noise, parking violations, illegal kegs, etc., and they never do, even at parties that are totally out of hand. A lot different than other places, where it's not unusual for people to get over a $1000 in fines for throwing parties.

Answering the door of my house with kegs and a shit load of loud drunk people behind me:
"How old are you?"
"19"
"You're drunk aren't you!?"
"I wouldn't say I've had that much.... I wouldn't say I've had anything to drink, officers."
lots of glaring from the cops
"You need to get these people out of here."
"OK..."

I've seen the same thing happen at so many other people's houses, I guess I think the Salt Lake cops aren't that bad just for that reason. Although we did have detectives from the crime prevention unit come by one day, and tell us that they'd somehow get us evicted if we had any more parties...

 Red light running is like the state pastime around here too, they hardly ever pull people over for stop sign and stop light bullshit.

which is bullshit,  my grandpa got t-boned by a semi running a red light,  semi didn't have insurance, so gramps was stuck with the costs of buying a new truck.  not to mention allstate insurance coming in and not totaling the vehicle when the shop said it was totaled and only giving him 14,000 when the shop said minimum 20,000 to fix it.  I think utah cops are nice people but don't do their job worth a shit.  it's always the people with the little shit that doesn't matter that get pulled over instead of the actual dangerous people out there.  grrr.  i'll stop here.
