Has anyone bought the new invaders? I have last years and they broke before the season was over for me, so i was wondering if they were built better this year, or if they are still cheaply made?
doh they are still cheaply made theyre only 300 bucks, but i skiied next years and they were fun and felt pretty solid, i havent touched any other year tho
oh yea there so much fun and if you get a new pair of skis every year thats all the longer they really need to last and they will last one season alot of my friends have em and besides a little delaming on the orignals they have been a great ski so much fun for butters and just dickin around on flat ground
im prolly gonna pickup a pair of anthems or invaders next year. i got a pair of scratch wrs but i just want a soft ski to mess around with, prolly going anthem since i could do some powder when i go out west with them too
i dunno bout the 07/08 models but my 06/07 models held up good, with some pretty hard riding and hard butters and stuff. only problem is the clear top peeled off pretty easily.
next years invaders will have the carbon ollie band in them. thats about all i have heard thats new with them other then that i would expect them to be the same ski as in the past.
I dunno I talked to someone who's ridin the anthems and he said they are pretty dope out of the park. obviously not gonna be a charging ski, but the extra waist will definately make them float more than the invaders. If you are gettin invaders though just gut the 0607s to save some cash cuz they're the same ski.
Lots of people have delam problems. I'm not sure how it's been, but from what I've understood the whole hate train was cause of the 05/06 models which delamed one after another.
Eitherway, I don't see the big deal since you can warranty them, right?
exactly. I'm getting this years, so i wanted to know what made them bad. Thanks, and i never thought of warranties.
i think from all the talk, this years will be fine.
That's what I was thinking too, but the site says they have 2 sizes 'in stock' - maybe Line is shipping early as all get-out now, since they are made by K2, and K2 always ships really early.
My invaders are fun as hell. Mine have a very small delam (1 cm long) on the tail that developed after 3 days of riding. But I skied them around 12 days this year and had no other problems. same with my friend. There are a few places in the topsheet that have been chipped/gouged. Atlantaskis' are in terrible shape. The plastic covering of the topsheet is coming off, but I dont know if he took good care of them.
The invader is amazing fun to ski, really quick edge to edge. It can still perform in all mountiain. They didn't chatter too much on me. They are absolutely amazing switch though. Low swing weight. Only problem is the possible delam and tips diving in pow sometimes.
