I'm going to see my parents in Colorado this weekend. Has anyone been to A-Basin lately? I haven't skied there at all this season. What is there park like? Any big table tops? Is the park still open? Thanks
i skied there last week. it was a right good time. there was a fair amount of jibs and one jump at the bottom of the top park that was fun. speed was an issue at times but even so it would be worth the trip. beware the up-box.
i havent been since the beginnin of the year but i hear that the aprk is about as good as an a-basin park gets which could definitely be worse but i hear its worth going if you want to ride
i was there over winter break
i fuckin love abasin, but its not a park mountain
its just gnar skiing and greattt woods and pow
if ur going to abasin, dont ski the park
right on, A basin has awesome skiing, not park skiing but AWESOME skiing. i went there during the first week of april Vail sucked the snow was gone and bare spots all over their front side , but A basin had perfect snow and no people any where
just skied there yesterday, shit is still way legit. not only is the park rad, but the guy in charge built all the rails and boxes on his own, with his own tools....he did such a sick job on the shit. and skiing there in general is still really fun, they have plenty of open terrain to go tear up some more.
i went mid march and i thought that my local park in western new york was bigger and better. It was pretty flat and speed was an issue for the jumps. But, the east wall was open and there were a bunch of small little rocks to pop off of, one of the most fun days i had this year
