Express vs Pro

Talking about final cut, Pro is $999 and Express is only $299. Are they really different, and is pro alot better?

i think express was made to be alot easier to use. so they probaBly took out the really technical stuff, while stil making it better than imovie. pro is better is you know how ot use it. $999 is just way to much
