I've played with them a little,Good camera for the price,real good colors to,Only thing I suggest getting is an external mic because the stock one sucks.

its a really good camera, i say its comparable to vx quality if used right. Its really nice and sick for the price if you want 3ccd for under 900. The only downside is that it doesnt have a ton of manuel controls but thank god it does has white balance. Take a look at some of my edits, most of them are filmed with it.

I'd go with the dvc30 if I were you. it's similar price and I've used it all season it is super sweet. I'd say it's comprable to my friends vx2100. Hard to say really though becaue most of the footy i've seen from both have been compressed... but definately sick for the price.
