Look Bindings BLEW BOTH ACL's

just a warning to anyone else that rocks the Look p 15/18 or the rossi race 15/18... check the toe piece din often.. the other day i was skiing in the black park and went to spin a 5 over jump #4.. and both skis ejected on take off... i ended up casing with no skis on and blew both of my acl's... turns out, the din on both toe pieces had gone down to 6.. the screws weren't even stripped or anything they just slowly turned back.. i had just checked them 3 days earlier...

so if you have the rossi or look race 15/18's check your toe pieces every time you ski!! i might see y'all on the hills next year if these surgeries go well..

that really sucks dude. hope the surgeries go well and stuff. i tore my acl with the fks 180s like 5 years ago. they have a different toe piece than the 185s, but still didnt eject properly on a 7 and next thing i knew i was on the couch for half a year. i still rock those bindings though... no problems since

Devin buddy, that sucks. i hope you don't need surgury.  I was hoping to ski with you this summer out on the glacier...damn.

i ended up fracturing my ankle at the triple challenge in the big air though i thought it was just sprained so i did not get it checked out for a month, and now it is healing so i don't need a cast...

though i don't have look bindings i'll pass this message on to thsoe who do.  i enjoy my VIST bindings, they only fall off when they should.

Damn Devin, I hope you do get surgery as soon as possible, Don't abuse the painkillers, that's how my life started to go down hill, before that i was drug free, remember that...

Anyways, demand McConkey, and tell them that your income is from being a proskier, they might pity you, and pull some strings for ya! When in doubt give him a Chaos tuque!

Do not demand mcconkey. he's older, his game is good but he isn't the best anymore. There are other guys killing the ACL surgery thing right now.

if you come back to ontario at all talk to dave bishop, he gets the best knee guys for himself.  I think it is Bowen in collingwood.  though if you are staying out west then i hear Mcconkey is still the shit.

i personally think mcconkey is a fuck head who has been around so long he just assumes everything when you see him. doesnt listen to what you say and thinks all skiers have the same story. some people love him, other have the exact same experience as me

Go to the UBC sports medical clinic, request Bill Regan, or one of the following docs, Paul Wright, Brian Day... Jordan Leith Alex Brooks-Hill, the last one is working out of Squamish and interned under Regan. All these guys/girls are younger and more up to date. I've had 7 knee surgeries, and a bunch of my teammates have had McConkey... he's a little older and is kinda excessive on the scalpel and removal of miniscus.

jesus I thought one was the worst thing that could happen to me. I can't even imagine 2... at the same time!!!

I vote against McConkey. He checked out my knee and told me it was fine. 2 weeks later I fell cause my knee gave out (due to no acl, not fine) and I wrecked a bunch of other things. Plus he's old and surly.

And definitely say you're an athlete. Otherwise you'll be waiting sooooo long.

Aw Devin I heard about what happened and it totally sucks, such a freak thing to happen, makes no sense at all.

Seriously make rehab the biggest part of your life, and don't give up. It sucks to say, but there's nothing you really could have done to prevent it, but there's a million things you can do to get better, good luck in recovery and see you at the beach.

Jesus D-Bo that blows major gigger balls. I was having prerelease issues with mine too, pulled my ski off on a cab 10 then again on a 5 in two runs, looked at my DIN and it was below the chart, took a good two min with a screwdriver to get my din back where it belonged. The screw was just spinning, must have been down near 3. You better get fuckin better soon, we got some skiing to do this summer (or by the sound of it next winter) I'll be in Seattle soon I'll give you a call.
