Im wondering what yall have to say about our parks overall this year. I am looking for any and all input on what you guys think of what we provided for yall this season. Also I know alot of you travel to other surrounding mtns. I am wondering what they do better or worse then us. Thanks and Ill see yall on the hill ...
The park before the ficher challnge ( i think) was good. Nice flow through the bottom part I liked having both single barrel and flatbar next to eachother. Big landing off the flatbars were nice. However some of the landings on jumps were short and could/ should have been longer.
yes longer landings, sometimes it felt like there was just a fine line between clearing the jump and overclearing it. See the knucle go by and be like good I'm safe then BAM! flat landing. Just a little bit
agreed and the situation has been addressed and hopefully next year we can get some more snow to build longer landings. Thats the bottom line we just never get enough snow. So hopefully mother nature will help us out and it works out that we can get more snow making. Thanks for the input and keep it comming.
you guys stepped it up again this year, i was impressed at the end of the season. good mix of trickable lower consequence rails and some big tech ones. more flow though.
i skied okemo at least a few times every week all season. To me it was a good year, i would agree with the longer landing complaint but realize thats a result of poor snow fall. To me the rails and boxes have become a week point, not that they were bad this year but just that when sessioning the park alot of the features get old, i think this is because there are alot of rails set up so there a chalenge to do, which is good but that eliminates the opertunity to really session and trick a rail. the two flat rails next to eachother were fun to spin out of and failry friendly to trick and are a good example of how a simple feature can be fun. What i usually knowtice when i go to other mountains is their flow and how fun their rails are. For flow stratton was a perfect example. with long landings and well spaced jumps. I found loons park one of the funnest parks i went to because they were not fucussed soly on building the largest features possible but rather the funnest. I hope this post didnt sound negitive because i really did think this was a great year at okemo and i see the challenge of building a good park, these were just a few things ive tought about
