I just got a new job for the summer, I'm so pumped. Working at a golf course monitoring the tee's and greens (making sure the irrigation/watering pumps work). Wicked. Anybody else work at a golf course?
i worked at a CC but not on the greens crew i was a server. sounds like a fun job but the early hours probably suck. best part was the free golf though
Actually, the hours are killer. I'm up wicked early all the time anyways (fishing), so I start work at 5am, get done at 1pm, and have the afternoons and nights to fish, play in my softball league, and make some extra dough reffing middle school lacrosse. Wicked nice course, I'm stoked on the free golf part.
My brother used to work on the grounds crew of super nice course around here (no. 3 in Canada). Hours are great if you can get yourself up in the morning cause you have all afternoon to do whatever. And free golf is always wicked.
I worked at a gc last year. I did the whole bag drop/ get carts/ clean clubs deal. The work sucked balls, but the tips were good and I got to play for free. not all bad.
i caddied at a real upscale private course. i really didnt like the actual job, because i dont really care for golf and your basically some old guys bitch for the day but carrying 2 bags i could easily pull in $60-100(cash) in tips plus $25 per bag(paycheck) for a 4-5 hour loop. i ended up quitting when the management changed and they fucked up the way they ran the caddy program.
