I just bought some 179's, and I've been riding center mounted park skis for a couple years now, and decided to get a pair of pow skis so I can ski more Bc. I ski at alpental, we get some deep snow, but its not like I'm straight lining faces in Alaska, just wondering how the floatation is at center, or near center, or any other related opinions would be good. thanks.
Dude, if you ski Alpental, come up tomorrow, we're going to be sessioning the shit out of some BC features. Hit me up with a PM or check the regionals, its going to be a blast!
I love my Maden's, and I have em a few behind center. I'd recommend like 3 or 4 back from center, just because its easier to ski gnarly shit without having your tips sink. My skis were mounted further center at the start of the year, but moving them back really didnt effect the way they go switch, as they have so much surface area that a few cm's here or there dont matter. I love those skis though, enjoy em!
i had a pair last season. they were mounted at the core center arrow, and they rocked. they were up far enough that they ripped switch, but the tips still stayed on top of the snow when skiing steep pow. i'd mount them there if i were you, totally sick.
thanks for the info, i was up there on sunday, but I didn't see this thread. was kind of shitty and rainy in the afternoon though, i took a couple runs and left.
