there the main lift, that u can take laps with depending on the session, and the time, although you may have to cut over, or hike over large dirt mounds. on the lane that windells uses, there is no t bar or lift. however while hiking the larger jumps, i think for like 15$ u can higher a snowmobile or something

I mean yeah obviously its sick either way, but if I was paying that much for it i'd expect to at least get a lift to the top to get more runs in.

Very true... I could just take my own trip to NZ for a week and ride park all day with a lift for that price. With Winter Conditions!

Are they anti-lift access jibbing or something? Im not totally against hiking, but it really hampers my jibbing cause it takes alot of energy to throw down.
Its not that hard to build one of those rope tows with a snowmobile engine....heh

except not, it at least twice as much to go to NZ for a week than going to windells from anywhere on the us for a week. Maybe if you fly free, that would be the case. But its not.

Keep in mind that the price of that camp doesn't include airfaire either.
It would be about 1000 dollars to fly to NZ and back and then you'll have 1000 dallars to spend a week in NZ. Totalling 2000$
A camp is about 1500 dollars... 500 for a flight...
Hmm... do that math.

pretty sure they cant add another lift due to government regulations regarding land use. its not that bad though, unless its really late in the season you can cut over and use the palmer lift but hiking gets you in shape and its nice to earn your hits that way

there 2 lifts that access the park as well as the reg. public park...so you can ride both most of the day. lifts close at 130pm. but camp is open until 330pm so your hinking if you want to learn shit... your a skier/rider, dont be lazy if your in it for the sport, otherwise stay home this summer and play xbox on your couch.

I can't believe how much people bitch about hiking. Is this the true park rat syndrom? I don't even ride the lifts that much during the winter. Summer hiking isn't even really a consideration seeing that its 70 degrees out and NOT IN POW.
And call me crazy but theres no way ur going to NZ for less than camp. Sure you can tell me its possible, but last time I checked airfare was over a G alone. If someone HAS actually gone and done it for less than they can tell me personally

i find if you hike you learn stuff so much faster, because you don't have as much time to think about what you are doing

the slopestyle course part of the public park is prime for lapping with good-sized tables. the lower section of the public (the pipe, most of the rails, then one jump) is not so much as you have to unclip and walk the path to the lift at the bottom depending on the time of year. as far as skiing to the lift from windells, you'd have to hit an early session to have snow.
All times are Eastern (-5)
