I just started skiing this year but ive been blading for a little longer. B4 this season the only thing i could do a blades on rails was just a frontside and an occasional top soul. when i started skiing the first day i could hit rails and in a little while do sw 270's on and 270's abd 450's out. Today was my first day back on blades and i thought i would absolutely suck. But i did some sw 270's onto my rail right away. And i just did a sw 270 pretzel. Skiing is deff a helper to blading and vise versa.
skiing started my blading. i just started skating this summer for a few weeks now. on skis on can do 270s switchups and all that riff raff. i can all ready 270 on and off and 450 off on skates. its sweet
they definatly help some. Both improve foot-eye coordination and air sense alot. I started skating and skiing 10 years ago and every year i am able to learn new stuff on skis and skates the first couple weeks of each season
yea well im a wood pusher from heart. blading looks real dope but i dont wana drop bills on shit, and there isnt shit to skate were im from. i live on an island.
not to brag but in my first 20 minutes of skating i could do topsoul 270 out, switch on, switchup 270 off, makio, switchup to 270 off. rails arent that hard on blades, its the vert that sketches me
No way man, it would take you like at least 2-3 years of skating to learn all of those tricks and do them consistently on a board. Skating prob seems easy to you cause its so much like skiing without all the swingweight and skis and poles to get in the way.
i would blade, but i have a dirt driveway and the roads are kinda crappy, can blades handle that kinda thing?
and i hate that wearing a helmet makes you look like a dbag on skates, but breaking you skull sucks
Skiing actually hindered my rollerblading. I've been rolling for about 9 years now and I noticed that not only did skiing screw up my tricks, but since I ride on remz, it's fucked up my riding style. I'm so used to being able to land backseat and catch myself that when i try that rolling I eat shit.
