got any rollerskates lyin around from 1970?

unscrew the trucks and wheels, saw it in half. get a 2 by 4, cut out a nice pointy shaped nose at the fornt of the board, screw on the two trucks.

done.

basically what the dude with the half horse said.  get a board, put some trucks on it. make sure the trucks are pointing DIRECTLY forward. i fucked up a bit on my first board. one degree counts.

if your looking to save money, just put some skateboard trucks on a 2X4! awesome flex!

my buddy took a board from the 80's and put big trucks on it, its a fun board, and for gloves, a great idea is to take some regular work gloves, use a cutting board to make pads, and glue on the cutouts on the fingers, works great

YUP!!! ive been building boards for like 5 years. its the best. way more fun than factory bought boards. heres a pic of my most recent board, hit me up if you wanna talk building. im not gonna bother writing up along post.

its a Vlam maple/poplar/fiberglass giant slalom deck. its got sooooo much fucking pop, and a really good torsional flex pattern that allows the trucks to be steered hard, but the board can still twist, allowing you to steer both trucks individually. its hangin on my wall right now, and i cant skate cause of a blown knee. its been killin me

oh, and you cant see, but the top and bottom have hand-sanded concave, the rails come to a point, but its .5" under the center. it took about a week to do just that

hey, when are you looking to purchase a board? i dont usually sell um, but i wouldnt mind getting into it. i wont be able to get anything built till june when i get out of school for the year, but hit me back if your interested and wanna discuss it. itd be a good portfolio piece for me too, since im an Industrial design major, and id be designing for a client.
