For anyone that hates riding around with bent sticks, look at some goode poles. I will never get anything but goode poles until I find something better. I don't really want to explain them because a lot of you probably know what they are but I am just putting the name out there.

Used them. I like scott series 4 better, but mine just snapped so now I have a pair of K2 fishing rods. They flex way too much though.

When I break my poles I've used for 7 years now, I'll go poleless all the time. Until then, occasional no-pole runs.

I like random no-pole runs too, I feel free, and for some reason it makes me ski better after I put my poles back on.

Just picked up on that right after reading your post, good work.
Which Goode poles do you have? Are they 100% carbon shafts?

leki has some poles that have a lifetime warranty against shaft bends. i think i might pick some up next year if i can get a deal.

Good luck with Leki's... I had a pair about 7 or 8 years ago of their bent shaft aluminum poles with trigger grips and they nearly lasted me a season... for $100+ it was a waste of money, I had to go to Colorado for spring break without poles, luckily i found Ice Usa 100% carbon poles there on sale, and have been rocking them ever since. Best poles out there, that is if you can find them, since they are not made anymore.

anything besides aluminum is awsome. Any aluminum alloy, no matter how high the price, or the grade will bend like mush. Composates, steel, and carbon poles are the best way to go. Sometimes the best poles are the cheepest man.

Goode poles are kickass, I've used them for the last two seasons. I gave them to a boarder friend once, boarder w/ poles hits a rail, skier w/out poles hits a rail right after, little kid standing next to rail is confused as hell. :D

Which poles do you want pics of?
I could get some pics up of my Ice Usa Solids. 100% carbon shaft, made in park city and with a bit of blood on one of the wrist straps.

yeah, lekis are damn expensive i have the trigger ones too. the only reason i got them is cuz i pro formed them for like 30 bucks, and they are really nice. plus i got free gloves with them too. so im probably gonna pick up some with the warrantee for next year. but yeah i totally agree with you, for 100 bucks not a good deal, but if you can get them for cheap they are a good pole.

to people who said fuck poles; they are very helpful when skiing lines and pow. in the park, they dont matter

Skiing pow without poles is aweseome dude, for really technical lines maybe...but it can done just fine without too. It's just mind over matter, think about how you would ski a line with poles, and then ski it the same way without them.

i think aluminum is the way to go cuz if you ride park you're gonna fall on your poles so I'd rather have mine bend than snap or crack... I love kids poles cuz they are so light, but hard to find em with big enough grips sometimes.
