There is not a lot of editing program on the market...for mac there is Final cut pro and premiere
and on pc : premiere. vegas, pinacle..and other...
but i should recomend you FCP on mac and Vegas on Pc

Final Cut Pro is pretty easy to use, or at least I think so. I had it down within a couple days (although I had used Premiere for a year prior)

no, fuck you. i use vegas6, then touch ups with adobe after effects. (ramp slow mo, and other tubuler effects)

never get pinacle shit sucks when ever i get 15 minuites into something it crashes all the videos it exports out are made skippy and horable quality just dont get pinicle it sucks

Not final cut express... I'm using that shit right now at school. It's annoying. You have to wait like 3 minutes to render the video every time you put a little effect in.
Go with Sony Vegas for windows. I have that at home, it's siiiiickkkkkkk.
I've never used any other apple programs other then final cut express, but if you have windows, get vegas. It's sick.

I used windows movie maker to make one of mine and it worked well, I can't say for the others as i have yet to try them

that isnt the program, its the speed of the computer, and obvoisly the school computers are pieces of shit, so yeah. Final Cut Express is a dope program actually, It provides lots of controls for someone who is just getting into filmmaking, but without being as simple as iMovie.
