One of my best friends in Portland has a female brindle pit bull named Jordan. Right when I moved back to Oregon, Jordan had a litter, and Baby Girl (she has a bunch of nicknames, but that's what most of us call her) was the only female. I immediately took to her and wanted to keep her, but I couldn't because my apartment didn't allow pets, and I know I wouldn't be able to take care of a pit bull puppy while going to school and working full time. I took care of her for months until another friend decided to buy her, and I still saw her every day until just before her first birthday when her owner moved. I see her about once a week now, but I miss her! She's so adorable and so big now!
The other is Malikai. Another good friend of mine down here, DK, owns a pit bull kennel and breeds them. Little M was the runt of one of his litters last year, and he looked like a mini Sage to me. DK kept him because he was just the cutest, sweetest little guy, and he let me walk/run him everyday and baby him and everything. I accidently called him Sage a few times, oops. Anyway, I see him about once a week now, as well, and he's so mini compared to Sage, still.
Raising those two has kind of kept me sane over the past year since I had to leave Sage. :(
We adopted a dog from the streets and it turned out she was pregnant. 2 weeks later she gave birth to 5 puppies and only one survived. We should have called her lucky or some shit like that, but no, she is Flika. She is 3 weeks old now.
She is missing a toe too.
And today I was experimenting with her and I think she might be blind...
Well, I did some more experimenting today and its hard to tell...although she didnt blink when i put a flashlight next to her eye ball, nor when I pretended like i was gonna poke her..she also stumbles around and walks like a drunk...
Im taking her to the vet next week so im gonna figure out. I hope she's good though and if she is blind then well, we are gonna have to get her a stick.
