Foil boots too wide?

I keep hearing that the Salomon Foil boots are really wide. Is this true? If I were to get the boots, I would get a size 25.5 or 26. My foot is about 85mm wide. Are the Foil boots too wide for me?

I love my foils. I have wide feet.
Its all about personal prefrence. Many boot companys make different types of boots. If you don't like them wide try nordica.

i have foils and i love em my feet aren't too wide but they stil fit well even after being worn for a while. they have a ton of forward flex too which i like

If the boot is too wide, won't it shift around when turning and spinning?

Salomon has the 2nd widest toe box out there as far as large-production boots go (the kind you'd find in most stores), behind the Atomic B series. They're nice and comfy though. As you go up in stiffness they tend to get a little snugger, which is about what you'd expect from any line of boots. So yeah, SPKs are quite wide, and won't fit you if you have a narrow foot.

are there any adjustments that you can have done at a shop that can narrow the boot down? I have foils and I find them to be just alittle too big in the toe box area, so I was wondering if there is anything I can do.

It's easy to make them wider. Going the other way is.... well, just buy a narrower boot.

Lange: Generally super narrow... though not necessarily in their freestyle models
Salomon Falcon line: Stupidly low volume
Technica: Medium
Atomic M series: Mediumish
Head: Mediumish depending on model.

You really have to try them on.

Xwaves are all on the wide side. Like I said, the falcons are narrow and... well just small in general.

dude just go 2 store and see which boot fits you the best, everyone has a different shaped foot

no the foils arent that wide they are just really soft. i guess if you were a beginner you might be set, but if you want to ski well i would get a better boot. other solomons are really high qualiy and technicas are my favorite. everything else is just a good solid boot, but solomon and technica and maybe lange are the best for sure
