I'm making a new run-in this summer, and I'm gonna make it collapsable with hinges etc in various places. How big do you think I can make a collapsable run-in without it bustin cuz of the hinges?
as long as you get like 4 or 6 screw hinges, you should be okay with however many you want. and make sure u drill them into som solid 2x4's or somthin, cause they'll rip right out of plywood
i find using bolts as hindges just as effective and more durable. You just place bolts in stead of screws where you connect your suports to the deck top and then put a support across that also has bolts holding it together. Its a bit of a pain having to ratchet the bolts every tine but Id say its worth it for the extra durability.
