Going to Whistler for about 3-4 months

I am planning on going to Whistler for 3 to 4 months (maybe more if I really like it!) next september. I was thinking of working for whistlerblackcomb and living in staff housing but I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing.
So if any of you are living in Whistler (staff housing), how is it? How much money should I have to go there at first? Is the rate of life expensive?...

I think nobody's replying because there are lots of threads on this, so search a few pages back and you should find plenty of info ;)
I would take a couple grand with me just for safety, but coming in september you should have no problems finding a job and housing. From what I've read on here, staff housing is good for aussies, but finding a nice place a short bus ride from the village with a night time job is a lot better.
