I had planned on posting results for US citizens under 18 and perhaps foreign citizens, but there was not enough information to conduct an accurate poll.
Do with this information what you wish.

I'm actually kind of surprised how many Republicans there are... 30%? Of all the political posts I've seen on NS, maybe 2% showed a dominant Republican tendency... maybe.

no i have seen more than that. I would say they are in the majority but there are still lots of republicans.

I don't think it's the fact that it's a skiing website persay.
The environment really is important. If the government and it's people doesn't start working on resolving many of the problems facing our environment, the problems will simply increase, affecting not only the wild, people, but our economy drastically as well. This issue must be dealt with, and it's finally being brought into attention by/for politicians.

yes the enviroment is important. But the sad truth is the majority of people in the u.s. dont realize this.

You know, I've been here for a while, and the only thing about this poll I'm absolutely sure of is that you should all be far more concerned with education.

probably true, but I only posted the results of those that are either already 18 or will be 18 come November, 2008. I was thinking about doing an under 18 poll, but I didn't get enough responses.

i have a question about the poll. how did you choose who to ask? i participated and i have no problem with it, i was just wondering

it was mainly dependent on who happened to be online at the same time as me. I thought about going through all users, but so many of them are inactive. Yep, so I would just go through like every-other person or so.

was expecting to see it as number 1... I've been doing my part about keeping the enviroment number 1... i've even done those surveys that random people call you and conduct a survey.. I did enviromental ones.. but the other ones are wasting our phoneline

gulliani did great in that sense and i belive he is favorible on a few positions which should make you democrats happy. i think abortion and there is another big one. But hes had a few wives and being a republican thats had more than one would basically get shat upon by the democratic party.
with the repub-Dcrat on NS question. its that people who say fuck bush or go barac don't really know shit about politics and they aren't even thinking for themselves. if they actaully cared they would back up there statements and then there are the kids who stay out of the NSer politics becasue they know its just going to end in a YOUR A FAG comment or something like that. NS's best minds stay out of NSG so you probably wouldn't have heard their views.

Giuliani is a loser, I'm sorry. Just because a terrorist attack occurred while he was mayor doesnt give him any credibility to run for president. He fucked the whole 9/11 thing as well; most of New York's police and firefighters absolutely hate him. Besides that, he comes with more mob ties than Kennedy, and would never garner republican support for his stance on many of the important republican issues, such as abortion, the war, etc. Also, he's got his whole marriage thing... hes on his third wife, and all of the previous marriages and breakups have been more publicized than the British Royal's. He's a terrible candidate for most republicans, and democrats have stronger people to pull for before stooping to him.

thank you.
I don't understand why people even like that cock sucker, and I was even more shocked when John McCain was listed as one of the lowest favorable, and highest unfavorable.
I think McCain is by far the best Republican candidate. He has the best shot of winning from the party, because he is the most moderate. Nobody wants a staunch right wing president, nor do we need a crazy ass left winger.

I may be missing your point, but a further ring-winged candidate would be MORE likely to win their party's primary, though less likely to win the whole thing. Many of the groups funding/supporting the republican candidates are Christian organizations and as I've heard many times in the last few months (from the news yes, but this isn't something that can be skewed too far without having some truth) McCain, by not signing onto the anti-gay marriage amendment, is not being supported by many of these groups that usually get republicans through the primaries.

Unfortunately, they aren't smart enough to know that they should be more concerned with education.

well, according to the apparent NS trend; why actually BE smart when you can argue about global warming and appear smart instead?

Yes, but we are talking about the people of NS, and how they view these candidates.
So what I'm saying is that it's weird to me that people favor a more right winged candidate that a more moderate candidate, when the "political affiliation" leans heavily to the left.
You'd think that the more moderate republican would be getting more support than some fuckwad like Guiliani.
But you are absolutley right about the primary's.

so basically this poll leads me to believe that the majority of NS has no idea what they are talking about, and just vote with whoever's name they have heard the most.
I'm sorry but now is not the time to have a woman for president.
Before you go all feminist on me, hear me out.
In the era we live in, the United States is still reigning as "world police" if you will. We have a hand in pretty much everything that goes down around the world, and we are somewhat feared because of our prominence.
If we were to make this step right now, when we are so dearly hated by many countries, it would only fuel the fires. Especially in the middle east where a womens opinion isn't accepted. Looking at the elecetion of a female president from an outsider's view looks like a sign of weakness. We have a huge problem on our hands with Iraq. With a leader who has NO military experience, don't you think more countries would be willing to plan an attack?
Thats just me.

I'm surprised to see that many people over 18. But the rest of the results don't particularly surprise me. And I have a bad feeling that the results here may actually reflect the rest of the US population.

Haha seriously. Iran, I think is the most important thing. Basically all hell would break loose beyond belief if we went to war with them.

Hillary Clinton was voted second for most favorable, yet she was voted first for least favorable. That doesn't make any sense. What are people thinking on here?
I saw that Iraq was a top priority but what were people voting for on there? To pull out of Iraq or to put more troops in Iraq and stay there to help?

NSers are aging. I think we a lot of people joined when they were like 14 and now we're like 18-20ish. I actually tried to target people with a fairly high post count, which indicates to me that they are fairly active.
As for these results reflecting the US population, I don't think so. Barack is not nearly this popular nationwide. I'm not sure about the demographics of NS, but I assume that a large portion are from the North-East. The northeast is pretty notorious for being very liberal.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah funiest shit ive read all night. thanks for the outstanding portrayal of a monkey with a radio up its ass that is tuned to Rush Limbaugh. you should consider stand up comedy, you could do a great routine or two with Ned, er, Carlos Mencia.

He did make one almost valid point. The insurgents may take it as a sign of weakness leading to increased resistance but that's about it. Other countries would most likely applaud a woman president as many other countries have already done so.
