Microsoft Word Problems for Mac

Every time I click save it says that my file name is not valid. So each time I want to save a document I have to show word where it is located in my computer which takes a while each time. Anyone else had this problem? Any way to fix it? also I did give the application to other people and the thingy I bought only works for three users but I haven't had a problem until three weeks ago. thanks a ton.

ummm no. don't put slashes and dashes in it maybe.

it has no symbols what so ever just plain letters

where are you saving it to?
did you take the ".doc" off the end?
try saving it as a ".pdf".

holy shit it's working I don't know how tho I was just about to append the file extension and then bam it works thanks for the help!
