The vancouver art gallery was the same, except more epic.. there were people walking around with 5 foot tall "KUSHKUSHKUSH" signs, girls selling baked goods, live dj etc.

That's the truth, the fine isn't even for a misdemeanor, just a "civil infraction" that's most comparable to a speeding ticket. Only thing is, if you are on University of Michigan campus, the campus police can catch you and charge you with the state posession crime, which is much more severe.
