ummm noooooo, there were cops and there were people getting busted but it was a lil more relaxed, and the denver law states that if you car over 21 in the city of denver you can cary up to one ounce for personal, but it is still punnishable by state law and federal law. You can not grow, sell or smoke it. just cary it.
CU's main campus is in Boulder not Denver. There is however a CU at Denver. The photos are from Boulder. There's so many people who do it that day they pretty much just let it go. On every other day of the year they will not hesitate to write you a ticket in Boulder. The Denver guidelines have already been posted above.
Haha, yea, I was there on monday visiting CU, and I was bummed that I was missing 4/20 at the school cause I knew that that happened. But then I was walking through Denver with my dad and we saw a huge gathering in the park in front of the capitol building so we went over and it was about 12, so there werent that many people, but they were all wearing tye die and/or pot leaf shirts so I figured it was the beginning of a protest or what not. Then I explained to my dad all about 4/20 and the history and all and he seemed very intruiged, also I was suprised that he didnt know about 4/20 and later on realized it wasnt part of his generation cause my mom didnt know about it either. Anyways, later on that day we were heading back from the art museum and thought we should stop by to see what was going on. It was pretty cool, cause there were a ton of cops and even SWAT, but they werent doing anything, they were all just standing around watching about 200 people in a very condensed crowd smoking a ton of ganj. Every once in a while people would start cheering and all, and there was this cloud of smoke hanging above the crowd. There were also these two women who were in their 50s walking around thanking people for smoking, one of the ladies had a huge pot leaf (not real) stuck to her back and she was selling "cookies" and the other had a sign that said "re-legalize weed" or something like that. All in all it was really fun to watch, and it helped solidify the fact that i want to go to college in Colorado.
i went to CU the day after. the field where everyone smoked was complete trashed. there were so many bags of chips and boxes of pizza and other shit like that
that sucks. Stephen Marley played at that show i said i was at and made an announcement to everyone to make sure to leave the park better looking than when we got there and everyone actually listened. it was sick.
Yeah theres not much that they are going to do, thats like finding pics of people smoking then going to bust them for it. I dont think they can do anything about it bc they were there and didnt do anything at the time
