My cousin rode ARV's and loved them, and he used them all over the mountain, but alot in the park and just playing around with butters and stuff.

both skis should be great though, just completely different

I agree, not really a comparison. Both are relatively soft with the ARV being the softer ski by a bit and the TM more a moderate to soft flex. But the waist there is 95 mm (not 92, that is the 175 cm ARV) vs a 78 mm. If you want faster edge to edge, go TM. If you want more all mountain, go ARV. I personally loved the 06 arv.

I rode the 185 arv's all over, and I'm about your size, I love them. They wobble quite a bit if you air to rail cause it's a lot of soft ski, takes a minute to get the feel of but they're real fun.
If those aren't the only two options for u, maybe you need ar6's
